Our company was founded in 1974 by Erik and Cheryl Johnson by providing snow removal services in and around Marion. Erik did this while working an over 30 year career (Feb. 1971-Dec. 2001) as a full time, professional firefighter at Marion Township Fire Department.
The business developed more and more as existing customers asked us to do a wider variety of work for them. It started with mowing in the early 80’s, progressed into sweeping and facility work in the early 90’s, and the landscape came about in the mid to late 90’s. That is when things really started to evolve and “Complete Property Management” came about.
Cheryl was the bookkeeper and office manager of the business until mid 2005. Currently the company is managed by Erik and Cheryl’s children. Jason is the Field Operations Manager and has been working with the company since 1996. Amber is the Business Manager and is responsible for accounts payable/receivable, safety and human resources for the company and has been doing so since early 2005. Our company is currently staffed with some of the best in the industry.
We strive to employ the most qualified, experienced and dependable people. Our company requires that each employee be a high school graduate or have a GED, have a valid drivers license with 4 points or less and pass pre employment drug and alcohol testing. We also perform regular/random drug and alcohol testing on all who work at Johnson Property Services throughout their employment.
Many of the members of our team have and continue to attend educational/training events and several are licensed and/or certified by the State of Ohio and Industry Organizations. These individual accomplishments are what makes the Team at JPS the ideal choice for your property and projects.
